I can tell you as an NC voter I am listed as a Lovely Sometime I Look Back At My Life And I’m Seriously That I’m Still Alive Poster Shirts. Just no one wants their affiliation in the public record and like having the option to vote in either primary (if you are registered to a party you can only vote in that primary, if you are independent you can pick either one (but only one)). Also, some are way more left than the Democratic Party and so consider themselves independent. We are in the late 20s and early 30s. Everyone I know who is a republican is registered as a republican but is that might be because I don’t know any my age in the state.
